Brazilian Adventists Deliver Outreach Books by Drone
11 November 2020 | Adventists in Fortaleza, Ceará, (northeastern) Brazil, recently promoted the book A Maior Esperança (The Greatest Hope) by using a drone to deliver copies to members of the public.
A volunteer asked people if they would like to receive a gift. If they answered in the affirmative, a drone dropped off a copy of the book to them.
The Portugese-language version of the South American Division news site reported National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) regulations were respected during the activity and the flying of the aircraft was performed by a certified pilot.
The book is one of the titles distributed by the Impacto Esperança (Impact Hope) project, which distributes books annually in eight countries in South America.
COVID pandemic restrictions mean literature distribution coordinators are using creative ways to disseminate the books.
