Instruments Stolen From Newbury Park Adventist Concert Band in San Diego
“The Newbury Park Adventist Concert Band visiting San Diego to perform last weekend woke up to find their van had been broken into, and many of their instruments were gone. ‘So far we’re able to determine the value of the instruments stolen is in the neighborhood of $20,000 to $25,000,’ said Principal of Newbury Park Adventist Academy, Joel Albritton.” Full story at CBS8 News website.
Brazilian Church Opens Multisensory Room for Autistic Individuals
In honor of World Autism Awareness Day, “several churches in the Rio de Janeiro region promoted awareness initiatives about the cause and included the inauguration of a multisensory room for autistic individuals which took place on April 6, 2024, at the Seventh-day Adventist Church (IASD) in Colégio, in the north of Rio. Free Clinic in Papua New Guinea Leads up to “PNG for Christ” Evangelistic Campaign
A free health clinic opened at Mount Hagen in Papua New Guinea, with more than 2,500 people attending its opening ceremony. Services included diabetes screenings and other medical and dental checks. The clinic was organized by the Adventist Church’s 10,000 Toes Campaign and Adventist World Radio as the area prepares for the upcoming PNG for Christ evangelistic campaign. Romanian Union Conference Releases Documentary Titled “Who Are the Adventists?”
“The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Romania released the film Cine Sunt Adventiștii? (Who Are the Adventists?), a documentary presentation on Romanian Adventism. The 93-minute film places the Adventist Church within the history of Christianity and explores the major contributions Adventists have made to Romania, including health and education networks and social assistance.” Full story at Adventist Review website.
