Two Andrews University Students Killed in Car Accident

November 22, 2016:   A multiple car collision resulted in the death of two Andrews University students in New Buffalo Township, Michigan on Saturday morning, November 19.

Austin Currie, a junior engineering major from Illinois, and Chandler Koerting, a junior computing major also from Illinois, were pronounced dead on the scene.

The university has set up grief counseling and group grief expression experiences for students who need special support in light of the tragedy.

A university Facebook post asks the Andrews community to “keep Austin and Chandler’s family and friends in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this difficult time of loss.”

Andrews held a “formal gathering for reflection and comfort” on November 20 to reflect on the lives and contributions of the two students.
