Pastor Angry as Air Conditioning Is Stolen from Free Seventh-day Adventist Church
10 July 2018 | The pastor of Kingdom Growth Free Seventh-day Adventist Church in Midfield, Alabama, has confessed to local media that he is angry after a thief made off with the church’s air conditioning valued at several thousand dollars.
CBS 42 reported that the temperature inside the church was 97 degrees when the station interviewed Pastor Richard Harris on Tuesday afternoon.
“It’s hot in here. When this place is full of our parishioners, it’s going to get even hotter,” said the pastor.
“To be honest with you, I was angry because in this community we have done nothing but good for people, we’ve taken people off of the street, we’ve fed people,” said Harris to the TV station.
CBS 42 reported that the pastor believed the thief “got on hands and knees, not to pray, but instead to crawl underneath the entire building’s perimeter to get to the expensive equipment.”
The Free Seventh-day Adventist Church is a network of churches that claims to uphold historic Adventist teaching but is not affiliated with the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
