Wound Center at Porter Adventist Hospital Named Center of the Year
March 14, 2017: Healogics, the largest wound care management company in America, selected the Wound Care Center at Porter Adventist Hospital as its Wound Care Center of the Year.
Porter Adventist Wound Care Center also was designated as a Center of Excellence according to a March 14 report from the Business Wire news service.
“Our Center’s success can be attributed to our outstanding team of Healogics Specialty Physicians (HSP), nurses and professional staff. We are passionate about providing the best patient care, and work tirelessly to help our patients heal. This commitment to clinical excellence makes all the difference,” said Robert Powers, program director at Porter Adventist Wound Care Center.
Healogics considered the clinical outcomes and quality metrics of the center in selecting it for the honor.
Patient satisfaction rates were above 92 percent at the center. In addition, healing rates were at least 91 percent in 31 median days and the center delivered the best value to its hospital partner.
Porter Adventist Wound Care Center is a member of the nationwide Healogics network and has treated about 2.5 million patients with chronic wounds.
It offers care to patients with diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections and other chronic wounds which take long to heal.
