The Christmas Dollar

Special for Christmas: here is a link to the first installment of a four-part story I wrote some years ago and made into YouTube videos during the winter of 2013. When you click on this one, the other three will be to the right, so you can watch them all in order. Here’s a little detail never before published–I’ll share the high-tech process!

First, I built up a good fire in the stove of the cabin where I was staying, in the wilds of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Then I carefully tinkered until my cell phone (a middle-aged Android) was propped just right on a plastic chair. Finally, I read carefully, trying not to stumble over words. I did one chapter a day, so you can see I’m telling the truth because there are four different fires. I have to say, I think it came out pretty well, considering!
