Roaring Success: Serbian Adventist Bikers Organize Motofest 2022
4 October 2022 | According to Adventist News Network (ANN), the Serbian chapter of Adventist Motorcycle Ministry (AMM) recently organized Motofest 2022, an event attended by 300 bikers in the Serbian village of Gospođinci, in the municipality of Žabalj, in the South Bačka District of the country.
In the ANN article by Vanesa Pizzuto, Dejan Lukic, AMM Serbian chapter president, commented on the September 4, 2022, event saying, “We had over 300 bikers, distributed 400 books, … and welcomed representatives of 46 motorcycle clubs. The church in Europe has never experienced an event like this before.”
The event featured a ride through the countryside, as well as food, music, and motorcycle stunts, and was organized as a way to share faith.
“Everything was free: the food, the books, the health checks—people were in awe! We invited four pastors and gave them the opportunity to preach during the event. They talked about the second coming of Jesus and how He want[s] to take care of body, mind, and soul,” said Lukic.
“We did not serve alcohol, and [we] played Christian music,” Lukic said to ANN. “Additionally, 50 ultrasound examinations were performed by health professionals, and we had a booth to donate blood.”
Lukic added, “I cannot wait to see what God will do. I know God has a plan and a mission for every biker in Europe.”
