28 November 2019 | Students and staff at Spring Valley Academy in the Dayton, Ohio, area are mourning the death of a young third- and fourth-grade teacher at the school.

Kimberly Orr, 31, died on Tuesday, November 19. According to the Dayton Daily News, Orr had taught at the school for nine years.

Spring Valley Academy Principal Darren Wilkins said that the mother of one was a much-loved teacher who had made an impact on students and teachers alike.

“She was young and vibrant and her students loved her,” said Wilkins. “We are a small community here and her death has hit everybody hard.”

Orr reportedly died from flu complications, although the exact cause of death has not been specified.
