Newsweek Names Loma Linda University Health to America’s Best Physical Rehab Centers 2022 List
30 August 2022 | Newsweek has named Loma Linda University Health (LLUH) to its list of America’s Best Physical Rehab Centers 2022 for the second year in a row.
According to an LLUH news release, the award was given by Newsweek and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider. The awards list was announced August 23.
The awards list is based on a survey of thousands of medical experts as well as other best practice data points.
Newsweek states that it awarded 255 inpatient facilities nationwide to the list of best physical rehab facilities.
“In general, we awarded roughly the top 20 percent of facilities in each state or region,” explained Newsweek.
“We feel honored for this recognition; it is a true testament to each of our employees’ commitment to this organization and delivery of exceptional care to patients throughout the region,” said Darryl VandenBosch, CPA, senior vice president of Loma Linda University Medical Center (LLUMC) East Campus and Surgical Hospital, in the LLUH release.
LLUMC East Campus offers one-stop access to the most comprehensive outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation services in the region.
According to the LLUH release, physical therapy, occupational therapy, robotic rehabilitation, orthopaedic and sports therapy, pediatric rehabilitation, and orthotics and prosthetics are offered. LLUH offers the only rehabilitation program with robotic therapy in the region.
