In the month of March, Breath of Life, invited by Sir Patrick Allen, Governor-General of Jamaica, will have a mini-revival at the Andrews Memorial Church in Kingston, Jamaica, from March 6-9, 2019. This mini-revival will be recorded and then shown on Breath of Life weekly television broadcasts subsequent to our visit. Additionally, the Oakwood University Aeolians will join our preaching ministry in Jamaica as they minister in song. If you reside in, or have family, friends, and loved ones in Jamaica, please know that all are invited to join us.

After winning a series of regional competitions, Oakwood University is one of 48 schools that will send a team of five students to the 30th annual Honda Campus All-Star Challenge, America’s premier academic competition for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). The HCASC National Championship Tournament will be held April 13-17, 2019, on the American Honda campus in Torrance, California. Oakwood University has the opportunity to win the HCASC top prize – a $75,000 institutional grant from Honda.
The annual Global Adventist Internet Network (GAIN) conference met this week with about 570 media professionals from denominational units and affiliated organizations such as the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) on the shore of the Dead Sea in Sweimeh, Jordan. The event includes professional networking and in-service education for Adventist professionals from the fields of communication, media, film, TV, radio, Internet, social media and technology. A range of new projects was shared by Adventist World Radio, the Hope Channel, ADRA, the division communication directors and others. There were workshops on storytelling, brand management, crisis communication and legal issues. The denomination’s General Conference communication department presented a plan for “an enterprise content library (ECL)” in which all Adventist media professionals’ worldwide content (text, photos, videos, podcasts, etc.) can be shared.
Southern Adventist University announced on its Facebook age that after 13.5 inches snow had recently closed many roads in Rochester, Minnesota, SAU and Loma Linda University Medical School alum, Tucker Coston, skied cross-country to his local GI work shift. SAU reposted a picture of Dr. Coston in his snowsuit that was originally posted by the Internal Medicine Residency program at Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.
