Graduate CPAs from the Philippines Score Double National Exam Rate
In the recently completed Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination (CPALE), alumni from the Adventist University of the Philippines scored 72.73 percent, in contrast to the national pass rate of 30.35 percent. The CPALE is one of the country’s toughest board exams. Full story here.

Alumna from SAU Creates Film Picked Up by Sony Pictures Entertainment
After some time in Southern Adventist University’s Visual Art and Design program, alumna Sydney Tooley decided to take time off to teach English in Taiwan. Her compelling experience became a screenplay called Sun Moon that Sony Pictures is now funding and producing. Read the full story here.
New Children’s Book from Brazil Illustrates Adventist History
The book’s author, Mirtes Machado, is a specialist in pedagogy and children’s education from the Catholic University of Salvador. She felt that the Adventist church needed more materials for elementary kids and produced an illustrated activity book about the pioneers of Adventism. Read more here.
New Additions to Mamarapha College in Australia Built to Serve Aboriginal Students
Mamarapha College is located on Whadjuk Noongar land (also known as Karragullen) in Western Australia. It offers accredited courses to “support real work opportunities and human flourishing for its Aboriginal students.” The new classrooms, computer lab, radio station, etc., were inaugurated during “Reconciliation Week” in Australia.
