Here’s How We Keep AT Censorship-Free

Hi AT Family!

I’ve got friends that work in mainstream Adventist media outlets that are constantly frustrated at how little freedom they have in what they are allowed to publish. No matter how valid the opinion expressed in an editorial or how important the breaking news story, the powers that be can (and do) step in to forbid publication if the piece ruffles the right feathers.

Whereas Adventist publishing in the days of our pioneers often featured healthy debate and courageous views, Adventist media has turned to what essentially is PR journalism – promotional stories, pushing narratives popular with well-placed denominational bureaucrats.

At Adventist Today we boldly reject this approach. We believe that we exist as a publisher for a time such as this. God has called us to speak openly, encourage dialogue, and publish accessible, independent journalism. And we can do this because we are independently funded. You, our generous readers, keep the censors at bay. You keep the AT conversation fresh, innovative, and unhindered.
