6 March 2019 | A 59-year-old Adventist woman was killed and her 28-year-old daughter injured after a dispute with a man who was doing work on their house in Delray Beach, Florida. The man allegedly hit both women with his Chevy van on Friday evening, March 1, as he was leaving their house.

Marie Ambroise and her daughter, Nutrishia Pardieu, were both taken to Delray Medical Center. Ambroise was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital, and Pardieu was treated and released.

The driver, who was identified as Elson Silencieux of Boynton Beach, initially fled the scene but was later detained by police.

Both women were members of the Adventist Church in Boynton Beach. Alfred Smith, an elder at the church, told the Columbus Dispatch that the happenings were a big tragedy for the congregation.

“This is very hard for me,” said Smith. “These are my friends. I have to go to the church and talk to my people.”
