Female SDA Pastors’ Facebook Group Thanks Supportive Church Leaders
17 October 2019 |
The Facebook group for female Seventh-day Adventist pastors of nearly 400 members across the world divisions yesterday issued this statement:
We express our gratitude to union leaders supporting women anointed by the Holy Spirit to pastoral ministry. We are a diverse group, representing many nations and backgrounds, all obeying the calling God put on our lives. We thank leaders who stand in recognition of our calling. Thank you: David Weigley, Ricardo Graham, Johannes Naether, Bobby Sjolander, Thomas Muller, and Victor Marley. We pray for these leaders, while also praying for our world church to recognize that, “It is the accompaniment of the Holy Spirit of God that prepares workers, both men and women to become pastors to the flock of God” (EGW, Testimonies, 6:322). To these six leaders, thank you for affirming the anointing of the Holy Spirit on all, for being true to our Adventist theological heritage and for courageous leadership, as you carry forward the will of your constituent bodies. We appreciate you!
