Denomination Launches Heroes 2 Video Game
26 March 2021 | Heroes 2: The Bible Trivia Game was launched on March 25 as a joint initiative of the General Conference and Hope Channel, the official television network of the church.
The game follows up on the success (10 million minutes of play) of the Heroes Bible trivia game back in 2013.
This time, the game features 3D animation, multi-player functionality, new Bible hero characters, performance-enhancing effects and thousands of new questions for players. The game is available in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese.
Here’s how Heroes 2 works:
The action starts with the Bible’s first heroes: Adam and Eve. Players accumulate “experience points” as they answer questions. The more points a player gets, the more heroes (Noah, Daniel, Esther, Jesus, Mary Magdalene, etc.) are unlocked. Each game features 12 questions and as the game progresses, the questions get tougher.
For the first time, Heroes 2 allows players to challenge friends and family by sharing a link to the same series of questions.
“The Bible is the foundation document of Western Civilization but young people today know more about the comics stories than the Bible stories,” says Sam Neves, associate director of communication for the General Conference and Heroes creator. “Heroes is a project that speaks this new visual language through a trivia game that brings these ancient stories to life. What happened to these Bible heroes matters. We should all know what happened to them so we can find out what will happen to us.”
