Brazilian Children’s Series “Presente de Nick” Launches Fifth Season

The children’s series “Presente de Nick” (“Nick’s Gift”) launched its fifth season on October 7 at the Adventist Central Church in Curitiba, Brazil. The series, available for streaming on the Feliz7Play platform, aims to familiarize the younger generation with biblical narratives through engaging audiovisual content.
The season comprises 12 episodes, delving into the missionary adventures of Nick and his companions, echoing tales of iconic biblical figures such as Paul and Peter. These episodes, inspired by Ellen White’s “Conflict of the Ages” series, emphasize the inception of the Christian church, drawing parallels from “The Ambassadors” – a modern interpretation of “The Acts of the Apostles.”
Glaucia Korkischko, the director of Children’s and Adolescents’ ministries for the South American Division of Seventh-day Adventists, shared that the aim is to highlight the essence of local missions, making the content relatable to today’s youth.
Presente de Nick is an initiative of the Spirit of Prophecy Department of the South American Division, in collaboration with Children’s Ministries. The series’ production team includes four skilled scriptwriters from Casa Publicadora Brasileira (CPB): Sueli Ferreira Oliveira, Neila Oliveira, Aline Lüdtke, and Anne Lizie Hirle.
Recognizing the evolving media preferences of children, Pastor Adolfo Suárez emphasized the significance of presenting biblical content in modern formats. “Our youth resonate more with podcasts and e-books than traditional paper mediums,” he observed during his sermon at Curitiba Church. He further accentuated the innate spiritual curiosity in children and the importance of nurturing it.
The event was graced by key figures from the South American Division, CPB, and Feliz7Play, all of whom contributed to the production.
The animations were crafted by EWIG Studios, a team of devout Adventists and professional animators. With a meticulous process spanning over a year, the project involved 26 individuals ranging from voice actors to illustrators, working in both Portuguese and Spanish. The dedication and prayers of the entire crew have culminated in making Presente de Nick the most viewed children’s cartoon on Feliz7Play in South America, setting unprecedented benchmarks for the platform.
