Anticipating AT1–June 5, 2020
It’s way too easy to judge another person’s actions before we even understand the context. We too often believe the worst intentions, the most sinister purposes, and the darkest motivations. Christ challenges us on that.
Welcome to Anticipating AT1. To keep our hope alive that one day we will be back together again, we are providing virtual meetings, with a new edition every Friday. Anticipating AT1 is 10-15 minutes long, and can be viewed at any time. We hope it prompts personal reflection, and is a discussion catalyst with your family and friends as you talk with them in the safe ways you connect during these unusual times.
Discussion Questions:
1. What would it take for you to believe the best about a person or a situation instinctively, rather than believing the worst?
2. How is your view of others getting in the way of worshiping in a way that God desires most?
Challenge:
It may be difficult. It may be embarrassing. But this week, with people we trust, let’s talk about our hidden and not so hidden prejudices. Let’s bring them to light and reject them with all the intentionality we can muster.
Be well, and love well.
