Alt-Right Strategist Steve Bannon Endorses The Great Controversy
3 January 2025 |
In a viral video, alt-right strategist, populist podcaster, and Trump associate Steve Bannon is handed a copy of The Great Controversy, and talks about it.
In Danbury Federal Prison my cellmate Tim Huntsberger had converted from being a—he would tell you a convict—into being very religious through reading Mrs. White’s books, and is a Seventh-day Adventist now.
Bannon admits that he has not read or studied our faith personally:
I haven’t studied it. I don’t know anything about Seventh-day Adventists, but I tell you one thing: it had a powerful impact on a guy who was a criminal, that changed his life, and really saved his life. He’s a good man, he’s one of the best men I ever met in this entire faith— actually changed his life. So for the folks in Danbury at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, they go up every Friday night to the prison and they hold a service with Tim and the crew there. I want to thank you guys very much for reaching out to those prisoners—it means a lot to the convicts.
At the end, he hands the book back to the interviewer.
