Adventist Churches Focus on Domestic Violence on August 22
Sabbath, August 22, is the day the Adventist denomination has set aside to focus on domestic abuse and violence. It is a sad reality that it affects Adventist homes. In fact, during the pandemic, there are reports of an increase in the number of domestic abuse cases around the world. While many are finding that the quarantine is providing their families with lots of time to be together, the stresses related to unemployment, financial deficits, home schooling children, and simply spending so much time in close proximity is causing some to be more impatient, angry, and controlling and they are taking their internal struggles out on their loved one in the form of violence.
