26 June 2019 | Kimura L. Fields is suing the Allegheny East Conference of the Adventist Church and the denomination’s Pine Forge Academy after she stepped into a hole on church property.

According to the PennRecord, she claims that she sprained her ankle and wrist as a result of the fall on June 27, 2017. She is suing for negligence.

Fields, who filed the legal complaint on June 7, says that she was attending a retreat on denominational property when she stepped into the hole en route from a pavilion to a church building area. She states that the hole was covered in grass clippings and was four inches in diameter and eight inches deep.

Fields wants $150,000, attorney fees and court costs. She is represented by Murphy & Dengler in Norristown, Pennsylvania.
