Pacific Union College Evacuates Due to Glass Fire
28 September 2020 | Pacific Union College has evacuated due to the Glass Fire in Napa County.
A Facebook update from the college posted 23 hours ago stated there was no threat to the school so far but the school had evacuated, “following local evacuation orders for safety due to wildfire in Napa County.”
The campus and student population have been evacuated safely.
A reminder posted an hour ago says all classes (both on campus and virtual classes) are canceled today (Monday, September 28) due to the Glass Fire evacuation.
“The PUC campus is safe at this time, but we encourage you to follow CAL FIRE and Angwin Volunteer Fire Department for the latest updates on this rapidly changing situation,” says the update.
The Pennsylvania Conference posted on its Facebook page that Elmshaven, Ellen White’s last home (located close to PUC), has also been evacuated.
