News from Loma Linda
According to a press release, “Loma Linda University School of Religion has launched two new certificate programs — one in Spiritual Care (13 units) and another in Bioethics (13 units). The school is accepting applications for the upcoming 2025 – 2026 academic school [year], and applications received before July 31 will be processed in time for the start of classes in the upcoming fall quarter.”
News from Nicaragua
The new Nicaragua Union Mission (NUM) headquarters was inaugurated in the capital city of Managua on February 7. This marks a significant growth for Seventh-day Adventists in Nicaragua, now moving their previous three mission offices from under the South Central American Union, based in Costa Rica. “AdventHealth’s corporate campus solar energy project has been completed and is now fully operational, making it one of the largest privately owned solar projects in Florida, United States. Located at the AdventHealth corporate headquarters in Altamonte Springs, Florida, the new three-megawatt solar photovoltaic system advances the health system’s goal to cut emissions in half by 2030 and achieve net zero emissions by 2050.” Read the full article here.

From February 21–27, the Trans-European Division hosted 130 participants at Newbold College of Higher Education (NCHE) to discuss safeguarding.
