Adventist Pastor Advocates for Released Prisoners to Receive a Clean Slate
Having overcome his own prison record, Seventh-day Adventist pastor Aaron Chancy is lobbying state officials in New York to approve the revised Clean Slate Act. Now a Ph.D. student and faith leader, Chancy works with organizations aimed at helping youth and incarcerated people, inspiring change through his testimony. Walla Walla Offering Free Tuition for 18 Theology Majors
WWU School of Theology is offering free tuition to 18 theology majors who fit a specific set of criteria: first-time freshmen, declare Theology as major, living on campus, matriculate for 2023-24 school year, have a GPA of at least 3.0, and apply by May 15, 2023. Amount of scholarship based on completed financial aid forms. Post found on NAD Young Adult Ministry FB Page. Scholarships may be provided from latest scholarship initiatives to recruit pastors and teachers.
North American Division Releases Tithing Survey
The North American Division has released a survey in their newsletter and on their Facebook page to better understand the current thoughts and behaviors surrounding tithing and giving by church members. It can be found at this link. All survey responses are said to be confidential and anonymous.

Adventist National Geographic Explorer Returns from Research on the Amazon
Daniel Gonzalez-Socoloske, professor of biology at Andrews University, Fulbright scholar, and National Geographic explorer, spent five months at several locations along the Amazon, analyzing species interactions and participating in preservation efforts. Read full story at ANN News site.
