Adventists in Switzerland Celebrate 150th Anniversary of John Nevins Andrews’ Arrival
“It was the 150th anniversary of the sending of the first official Adventist missionary to European soil. For the occasion, the Swiss Union had the honor of welcoming Pastor Ted Wilson, president of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventist Churches, accompanied by his wife. ADRA Mobilizes to Assist Communities Affected by Hurricane Beryl
“According to local authorities, an estimated 200,000 people in Grenada, St. Vincent, and the Grenadines (SVG) islands have been affected. The catastrophic storm continued to pound Jamaica on July 3 with massive life-threatening flooding and mudslides, prompting the country’s prime minister to declare the region a disaster zone.” Full story at ADRA’s website.
South London Church Launches “Mental Health for Immigrants” Evangelism Program
“With around 206,000 Spanish nationals residing in the UK, the church identified a need to address the spiritual and emotional needs of the Hispanic population. The strategy targets four groups: ex-Adventists, people with Adventist relatives, alumni of Adventist educational institutions, and those who have attended evangelistic meetings or received Bible studies.” Full story at the Trans-European Division website.
JustLove Collective Releases Latest Edition of “Pulse” Digital Magazine
The JustLove Collective (JLC) is a collaboration of Adventist activists who host an annual summit and produce a digital magazine on activism. The latest edition has been released and includes features such as, “The Gospel’s Good News for Queer People,” “Border Security’s Hidden Agenda,” “Slavery Logic,” and more. Brazilian Students Learn How to Have a “Biodegradable Past, Sustainable Future”
“During a science fair that took place on June 9, the students were able to present several projects focused on sustainability, such as the production of biodegradable pots for seedlings, homemade repellent against dengue fever, and more.” Full story at Adventist Review website.
