Taiwanese Churches Assess the Aftermath of a 7.4-Magnitude Earthquake
“An earthquake in Taiwan, which took place around 8:00 a.m. local time on April 3, caused minor damage to three Seventh-day Adventist churches where South Korean missionaries are serving. Fortunately, no casualties were reported. However, aftershocks continue, and the full extent of the damage has not yet been determined, indicating that the overall impact may grow.” Full story at Northern Asia-Pacific Division website.
Haitian Churches Persist with Baptisms Despite Gang Violence
“‘At least 55 churches are closed,’ Caporal said. ‘The number is increasing week after week.’ Many of the offices of the schools and institutions cannot operate fully. ‘The personnel of the union office, for instance, continues to work in three different locations,’ he said.” More information about the church’s situation in Haiti at the Adventist Review website.

Loma Linda Children’s Hospital Foundation Gala Raises Over $1 Million
