Here’s Why AT Is Important
Hi, Everyone!
Recently, Adventist Today Latinoamérica director Daniel Mora published the news of the first Adventist woman ordained as an elder in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The story spread FAST. In just one day, the news reached nearly 100,000 people via our Spanish-language Atoday Latinoamérica Facebook page, generating over 600 comments (there are now hundreds more.)
The rapid, strong response to the story was simply the latest confirmation that the Adventist community worldwide is hungry for news of progress and for the accessible, independent journalism that AT provides.
Your Support Means Everything
Nothing encourages us more here on the Adventist Today team than hearing how AT has impacted the lives of our readers, viewers, and community members around the world. We love the notes of reflection and encouragement we receive from you.
Every week when we share a thought or a laugh at Adventist Today Sabbath Seminar (ATSS), we feel your love and support. It’s the reason we confidently expand our services into the Global South and elsewhere, knowing that the Adventist world is in desperate need of the transparency and sense of authentic spiritual community that AT promotes.
Quite the Year!
2022 has proven to be the kind of year where a supportive, encouraging spiritual family is more important than ever. Uncertainty and conflict dominate news headlines worldwide. And the Adventist headlines often aren’t much better after a General Conference session that returned to power some of the same faces that have worked to narrow the parameters of what it means to be Adventist and quash diversity of thought.
The boldly independent publishing of AT is exactly the kind of courageous and inclusive voice that the Adventist faith community needs right now. AT provides a platform that is not censored by the powers that be. It provides a counterpoint to the party line and a forum to express your conscience.
Many Ways to Serve
We are blessed with readers from all around the world. As our audience diversity grows with a wider age range and greater cultural diversity, we are working hard to develop the best channels through which to publish.
Our quarterly print magazine is a favorite of readers worldwide who love the insightful, refreshing perspectives of our talented writers.
In addition to the quarterly printed magazine, AT has several other impactful communication channels:
- atoday.org with real news and in-depth commentary articles reaching tens of thousands
- a Facebook page that reaches additional hundreds of thousands globally
- a weekly, award-winning AT Update newsletter that communicates with a fast-growing list of almost 8,000 readers
- Twitter, Instagram, and Patreon feeds attracting younger generations
- ATSS – our super-popular online gathering
- and so much more
No matter how you connect with Adventist Today, you have learned to expect a warmth, transparency and an openness that you won’t find anywhere else.
Will You Back Us?
Our December 2-11 2022, Year-End Fundraiser is in full swing. We can only expand what we offer if we know you are fully behind us with your prayers, your promotion of what we publish, and your support financially. Thank you for supporting us with a generous donation.
With immense gratitude,
Loren Seibold, AT Executive Editor
