Glendale Adventist Academy Teacher Arrested on Suspicion of Child Molestation
15 February 2021 | Brett Mohr, a teacher at Glendale Adventist Academy in Glendale, California, was arrested by Los Angeles police on Friday, February 1, after being accused of child molestation.
He was charged with multiple felony counts.
According to local TV station KTLA, police arrested Mohr after receiving allegations of inappropriate conduct with students.
Mohr has worked at the Adventist school since 1998.
Adventist Today (AT) reached out to Glendale Adventist Academy for comment but did not receive a reply.
The Southern California Conference of the Adventist denomination responded to AT saying:
We take any and all allegations very seriously. Our first priority is always the safety of our students and their families. We will continue to cooperate with law enforcement. Pending confirmation that criminal charges have been filed for sexual misconduct, we are taking action to suspend his teaching certificate immediately.
CBS9 reported Mohr is being held on $9.2 million bail.
