Fired Adventist Pastor Faces Charges of Sex with Underage Church Member
6 May 2018 | Billy Leveille, 51, who was pastor of Bethel French Seventh-day Adventist Church in Oak Ridge, Florida, has been charged with having sex with a 17-year-old member of his congregation. Local ABC television affiliate WFTV9 reported that Leveille was fired after the allegations of underage sex surfaced and was, according to a police report, banned from pastoring the church.
Leveille is accused of having sex with the underage teen three times at different hotels. One of the girls took videos and pictures, which were eventually released and went viral.
According to the police reports, the minor told investigators that “she did not feel comfortable with this but was scared to tell Leveille anything, as he was the pastor of her church.
According to the girl, the former pastor would say, “he was really stressed and needed a stress reliever,” during the incidents that allegedly took place in late 2016.
The case caught the attention of law enforcement after a video on Facebook purported to show Leveille having sex with someone that was understood to be female and a minor.
Leveille is out on $10,000 bail and is due to be arraigned May 17.
