Comments on Are SDA’s Queer Enough? Amazing Facts Promoting Health Crackpot, Berrien Village Church Demanding Constituency Meeting, Walla Walla Student Walkout, and Aunt Sevvy
“I love that the focus is also on the more modern interpretation of the word queer. And the answer is NO! We aren’t queer enough! Queer spaces are the BEST spaces. Keeping queer people out is always a mistake. Every time. I’m ashamed at Walla Walla, a college I once attended, for their short-sightedness recently. And for the broader church’s stubborn and antiquated attitude towards queer people.
Amazing Facts Promotes Aussie Health Crackpot Barbara O’Neill
“Modern-day snake oil saleswoman. And our denomination eats it up. This is something our family frequently discusses. They take EGW writings to the extreme. No qualifications about medical issues but are frequently giving ‘advice’ about what a person should do. At least doctors take an oath to ‘do no harm.’ I am not saying that mistakes or malpractice doesn’t occur. It does. Doctors are fallible humans. But these so-called ‘experts’ without medical training are literally killing people with ignorance. I always request…..’Show me the studies’ to back your advice and then let’s discuss the pros and cons. Common sense.“

Outside News Covers Walla Walla University Protests
“We have lost three generations of people. In my classes from SDA schools only a handful represent. And after the late Boomers it is worse. Leadership is adrift and doesn’t know what to do. More meetings and programs or GC mailings will not solve the problem.”

A Berrien Village Church Demands Special Constituency Meeting With MCSDA
“What’s interesting to me is how compliant the members seem to be. Even those who work at Andrews University and should have the insight to recognize this cultic way of thinking. No church member is standing up to say, ‘Good, he’s gone, so we can move on to emphasize the good news, rather than vaccinations and Christian nationalism.’
Opinion: Young Adventists Are Right – We Need Change
“Idealistic kids are often brushed off by the older, entrenched generation–there is always that tension–but when a significant number in the older generation also see the need for change, there just might be something there. I am by no means young and yet I too see the need for complete acceptance of LGBTQ+ people in the church. This is because I have spent years studying the issue and with my understanding from the scientific side have been forced to change my views. When I was 20-something I was one of those who saw being gay and ‘living the gay lifestyle’ as wrong. With more maturity I realized my views were uninformed. The young people of today have just caught on earlier than I did. More power to them, and I think the church needs to listen to them. They literally are the church of tomorrow, or not, if they choose to leave because the church turns a deaf ear.“

Walla Walla University (WWU) Students Plan Walkout Against Administration
“I’m so proud of the students at my alma mater for living out REAL Christianity.”
Aunt Sevvy, why does the same GC president continue for years?
“This GC president should adopt a semblance of humility and remove his name from consideration for any appointment.“
