Centura Health CEO to Step Down
May 22, 2017: The head of Colorado’s largest health care network will be stepping down from his position.
Gary Campbell who has been CEO of Catholic/Adventist Centura Health since 2008 will step down from his position on September 1.
He will take on a new executive role centering on leadership development and health value optimization within Centura.
Before working at Centura, Campbell was senior vice president and group executive officer of Catholic Health Initiatives.
Local television station, KUSA-TV reported on its website that in his role at Centura, Campbell is credited with being part of a major transition in Denver-area health care delivery.
Campbell was part of a push to transition care away from hospitals to less acute outpatient settings.
When the leadership change takes place in September, Campbell will be replaced by current Centura President/COO, Peter Banko.
Centura Health is managed under a joint operating agreement formed in 2006 between Adventist Health System and Catholic Health Initiatives. It operates facilities in Colorado and Kansas.
