Anticipating AT1–October 16, 2020
Our frequent default is to rely on our own power to change our thoughts or behavior, rather than trusting in God’s infinite power. It’s dismaying why we do that once, but if we do that repeatedly, it’s baffling!
We’re so delighted you’ve found Anticipating AT1. From our inspirational message, to our thought-provoking news segment, to our music moment, we trust this short program adds value to your week.
To keep our hope alive that one day we will be back together again, we are providing virtual meetings, with a new edition every Friday. Anticipating AT1 is 10-15 minutes long, and can be viewed at any time. We hope it prompts personal reflection, and is a discussion catalyst with your family and friends as you talk with them in the safe ways you connect during these unusual times.

Musicians, we want to hear from you! Would you bless us with a vocal or instrumental piece? We’re looking for a three-minute song, email to atoday@atoday.org. If we select your video, we will give you a link to download your file at production size. If you recruit a friend to do this, you’ll be doubly blessed!
Discussion Questions:
1. What have you found helps you most as you align your desires with heaven’s values? Feeling really loved? Voluntary accountability? Relentless willpower? Please explain.
2. Is it possible to replace the anger and suspicion that so often sours discussion in our church community with a more optimistic, faith-filled vision for the future of the Adventist denomination?
3. How can we best pray for the ability to show love, even to our ideological opponents and even as big questions about the future of our church loom large?
Be well, and love well.
