Anticipating AT1 – May 22, 2020
Fear too often fuels our interactions with others. Why do they have such crazy ideas? Why are they so physically/psychologically threatening? What do they think of me? These questions, and so many more, derail our healthy quest to understand each other. What does Jesus say to our fears?
Here are supplemental materials you may use in following along with Haloviak:
Welcome to AT1. To keep our hope alive that one day we will be back together again, we are providing virtual meetings, with a new edition every Friday.
Anticipating AT1 will be about 10-15 minutes long, and can be viewed at any time. We hope it prompts personal reflection by you and your loved ones as you shelter safely at home.
We’d also encourage you to use Anticipating AT1 as a discussion catalyst with your friends as you talk with them by phone, FaceTime, Skype, Zoom, or in the other ways you connect during physical distancing.
Discussion Questions:
1. Fear seems to be the primary motivator in so many human interactions today. What are you doing to accept Jesus’ daily invitation to “fear not,” and influence your world to do the same?
2. What is the best way to be a joyful participant in the ways of Jesus despite the huge fears that are a real part of the extraordinary health crisis we are going through?
Be well, and love well.
