Adventist Frontier Missions Announces New President
21 May 2025 |
Adventist Frontier Missions (AFM) has a new president at the helm, with Brad Mills set to take the lead come August 1. According to the official statement, Mills brings extensive experience in global missions. In addition to fluency in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and Arabic, the new president holds a Master of Science in Nursing, a Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry from Andrews University, two mission diplomas from the Institute of World Missions, and is a certified family nurse practitioner.
As noted in the statement,
Brad’s previous roles have included leadership positions with the Middle East and North Africa Union, Northwest Brazil Union, Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA), and several Urban Centers of Influence. He has served as a professor, church planter, nonprofit director, and mission strategist—always with a heart for service and a calling to uplift and disciple communities through Christ-centered initiatives.
The position was vacated by Conrad Vine in February of this year. Vine’s opinions surrounding Christian nationalism, vaccinations, and tithing have been a source of contention and conflict in recent years. He and his family first joined AFM in 2011, and he explained in a statement that after 14 years it was time to make way for new leadership.
There was anticipation over who would assume the president’s role. Brad Mills; his wife, Lina; and their two sons, Levi and Lucas, are entering the AFM team with nearly two decades of international experience in mission and non-profit leadership. Those invested in AFM are hopeful for what lies ahead under new leadership.
