Adventist students and staff hosted a week-long evangelistic program held at Kerevat National School of Excellence (KNSoE) in East New Britain, Papua New Guinea. Themed “The Power of Choice,” the event introduced the other students and staff to the Adventist message. The program resulted in 11 baptisms and 45 other students expressing interest. Inspired by the death of his grandfather, Avondale University student Caleb Morton will run 250 kilometres over five days to raise $A25,000 for Cancer Council, starting this July 31, 2025. Donations from the GoFundMe page will support cancer research. His run is sponsored by Avondale University, an Adventist institution of learning, and The Lift Project, a wellbeing program. “In a landmark initiative, the Women’s Ministries Department of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Japan has launched the nation’s first official Enditnow® Japan website, marking the Church’s formal participation in the global Enditnow® Day on August 25.” The website is designed to provide resources and tools for victims of domestic violence. News from the Dominican Republic
After three years of effort, 400 congregants gathered to celebrate the inauguration of the Ciudad del Cielo Seventh-day Adventist church building in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, on July 26. Consisting of a church, a primary school, and a kindergarten, the project was completed with the help of local volunteers, Maranatha volunteers, and government cooperation. Read the full article here.
