The 40th annual Children’s Day, hosted by Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital Child Life Department and presented by Farmer Boys, will occur on Wednesday, April 30, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This year’s event will feature a teddy bear clinic, a petting zoo, finger casting demos, therapy dogs, a venomous animal showcase, and The Red Nose Docs.

“A recent free health fair served almost 1,900 people in a neighborhood outside Asunción, the capital city of Paraguay. The March 29-April 2 event, which took place at the Amanecer Family Health Unit in the Boquerón neighborhood, Areguá, was the result of a partnership between Asunción Adventist Sanitarium (SAA) and AdventHealth, regional church leaders reported.” Read the full article here.
News from Germany
After 25 years, Waldfriede Hospital, a Seventh-day Adventist health-care institution in Berlin-Zehlendorf, Germany, stopped operating its baby hatch in March 2025. The hatch, which was a warming bed available for mothers to anonymously drop off unwanted babies, has been made ubiquitous with the rise of the legal regulation of confidential births. After beginning as a small group on La Sierra University’s campus, a Ghanaian Adventist church now has an 8,922-square-foot (about 830 square-meter) church building in Redlands with a 200-seat sanctuary, classrooms, and a dining room. The building dedication included the La Sierra University president, the Loma Linda University Health president, as well as Redlands police chief and the Redlands mayor. Read the full article here.
