Tiago Corte de Alencar, a lawyer in São Paulo, Brazil, won a lawsuit against the Judo Federation requiring the sport to follow Brazil’s Federal Constitution, which guarantees the acknowledgement of religious beliefs. Pastor Reginald Chery, 46, from the South Bronx Community Seventh-day Adventist Church near Crotona Park, who is a chaplain at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway, Queens, was arrested on May 21. Chery was accused of sexual misconduct with a minor between January 15, 2014, and August 15, 2016. Read the full article here.
