New App for Australian Church Is Designed With Visitors in Mind

The Seventh-day Adventist Church (SDA) in Bunbury, Australia, has launched a new app dedicated to outreach. The comprehensive digital platform, named “Bunbury SDA Connect,” is partnered with a new church page designed with the visitor in mind. The church aimed to make its outreach efforts accessible to community members who were curious about Christianity and the church’s ministry.
The revitalizing of the website allows the information to be a fluid connection with the mobile app, allowing visitors to see everything at a glance with a user-friendly navigation. Some of the key features for the website include a sermon library, event calendar, ministry information, online giving, and a concise introduction to Christianity and Adventism for those who are curious.
The app contains introductory materials such as daily devotionals, interactive groups, prayer requests, and real-time updates for the church activities. The anchoring feature for the initiative is Bible study. As the app offers online Bible study groups and free Bible downloads, those who want to learn more about the Christian faith but are hesitant to attend church in person can access resources and interactive study with daily application.
Next-generation youth group initiatives for individuals aged 16 to 24 are meant to connect with young people who are unfamiliar with Adventism, as well as to nurture existing members. According to CBS4 News, the intent of the digital revamp was to engage the broader community by making the church accessible without assuming prior knowledge about Christianity or Adventism. Working as an open invitation, the Bunbury Seventh-day Adventist Church hopes the new website and app can expand its community where they are.
