President of Brazil Makes National Pathfinders Day Official Holiday
“National Pathfinders Day was approved by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and is now part of Brazil’s official calendar. With the signing of Law No. 14.665 on September 4, 2023, the celebration is set to take place annually on September 20.” Full story at ANN News site.
Young Adult Conference in Chicago Over Labor Day
“On Labor Day weekend, September 1-3, Breath of Life Ministries partnered with the Lake Region Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church to host a rally in Chicago, Illinois, United States, targeted to the younger generation. Highland Church Organizes “Reverse” Mission Trip
“As the two groups were growing closer, someone came up with the idea of a reverse mission. Rather than the SDA ladies from here going back to do mission work in Ireland, they would raise money to bring the ladies from Ireland here.” Full story at The Portland Sun site.
Inter-European Deaf and Blind Congress Held at Collonges Adventist University
“Meetings were held in the auditorium at Collonges, the Adventist seminary in France. In total, 82 participants attended — 65 of them deaf, 15 translators, and 8 children. Participants hailed from Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine, and the United States.” Full story at the Adventist Review site.
Youth in Saint Lucia Beautify Southern Village as Part of Community Initiative
“Adventist young people in Saint Lucia recently met in Soufrière to plant dozens of palm trees and flowering plants as part of a community impact initiative led by the Youth Ministries Department of the Saint Lucia Mission.
