Bomb Squad Called to Adventist Health Specialty Hospital in California

The Bakersfield Police Department’s bomb squad was dispatched to the Adventist Health Specialty Bakersfield on Sunday following the discovery of a small destructive device inside the building. According to the police, a security guard found the device and promptly removed it from the premises. The bomb squad was called in as a precautionary measure. Authorities confirmed that the hospital was never placed on lockdown and assured that there is no threat to the public at this time.
Adventist Health Bakersfield Heart Hospital and the Bakersfield police department have not made any statements regarding the incident. Neither how the device got onto the premises, who placed it there, nor the reason behind it has been determined.
