News from Loma Linda
“The Big Hearts for Little Hearts Loma Linda Guild hosted its annual Dishes for Wishes event on Wednesday, October 9, raising $85,000 for Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital. The Guild has pledged to contribute $100,000 toward pediatric cancer research and treatment as part of the Stronger Together Campaign.
The event was held at the Loma Linda Korean Seventh-day Adventist Church in Redlands, which welcomed more than 300 guests and featured the theme “Cruising Through the Kitchen.”” Excerpt from full article

“The team at the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s South New South Wales Conference in Australia have come up with a unique way to raise awareness and engagement with the church-owned radio station Faith FM.
Called the Faith FM Strongman Challenge, it features a custom-built trailer where participants are invited to test their strength and fitness in various challenges. “The General Conference (GC) of Seventh-day Adventists unveiled a new brand positioning architecture to the GC Executive Committee (EXCOM) members and invited guests in attendance at the LEAD Conference held in Silver Spring, Maryland, on October 10. “Walla Walla University’s new president Alex Bryan will be installed during an inauguration ceremony open to the public on Tuesday, Nov. 12.
Bryan is WWU’s 24th president in 132 years and replaces former President John McVay. Bryan started the job on Monday, July 1.
